When Classroom Rules are Broken:

  • I follow a discipline management plan to maintain fairness and consistency. My behavior management plan is as follows:

1st time breaking a rule: Overall warning/reminder to the whole class of classroom rules

2nd time breaking a rule: 1-on-1 private conversation with student

3rd time breaking a rule: Moving seats

4th time breaking a rule: Call/email home

5th time breaking a rule: Loss of a privilege

6th time breaking a rule: Visit to the Office

  • These warnings and consequences reset each day in art and do NOT accrue over several days – Every day is a new day!
