Welcome to Saigling Elementary School! I have the privilege of serving as the principal of this wonderful learning community, and I am excited to share a bit about myself and my passion for education.

My philosophy of education is grounded in the belief that every child has unique strengths, talents, and potential waiting to be unlocked. I am a strong advocate for fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment where students are empowered to explore, question, and discover. Collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and the community is at the heart of our approach as we work together to inspire a love for learning and personal growth.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two children. My son and daughter are both graduates of Plano Academy High School. Time with them not only brings me joy, but also provides valuable insights and perspectives that I incorporate into my role as a campus leader.

Amy Taggart

Hello Saigling families! My name is Amy Taggart, and I am excited to introduce myself as your Assistant Principal. I bring a deep passion for education and a strong commitment to supporting the growth and development of our students. With more than 10 years of experience in education, I am thrilled to use my skills and expertise in collaboration with our dedicated faculty, staff, and the Saigling community.

I am honored to serve at Saigling Elementary. I earned my Master’s degree in Education from the University of Phoenix while living in Arizona, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Originally from Mississippi, I now live in Plano with my four children—two boys and two girls. In my free time, I enjoy sports, movies, reading, and spending time with my kids.

Working alongside our principal and the incredible team of educators, I am proud to be part of the Saigling family. Together, we will empower our students to dream big, think critically, and embrace challenges with resilience.
